Altun Ha Ruins
 This
tour starts with an exciting boat ride to
the mainland. Then travel along a jungle
river to the village of Bomba. Bomba is one
of the best places to get Zericote wood carvings

the unspoiled countryside and native villages,
as your guide educates you about the local
plants and animals. Once you arrive at Altun
Ha, your guide will take you on a tour of
this important Maya trading center. Learn
about the ancient Mayan civilization at the
ruins where one of the finest and believed
to be the largest, Mayan jade carving was
found. Bring your camera to the top of the
best preserved temple for a fantastic view
of the surrounding jungle. You may even venture
on a short jungle walk to the old Mayan reservoir.
